Vienna Fo Guang Youth Philharmonic took international exchange with Nanhua University
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Fo Guang Shan opening, Vienna Fo Guang Youth Philharmonic, which leads by Master Jue Yan in Fo Guang Shan Temple in Vienna, Austria, toured in Taiwan. It not only took two performances in Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial, but also performed in Nanhua University to communicate international music with Department of Ethnomusicology. It was so popular that day when Director Feng Chih-Hao guided students to show classical music performance.
The tracks of Vienna Fo Guang Youth Philharmonic performed were very multivariate wonderful. Including Western classical music, modern music, sounds of the world, Taiwanese ballads and self-created songs etc.. Besides, the band performed a new arrangement song called’ Shih-Hsiu Song’ and chorused with audiences. President Lin,Tsung-Ming, Mission Vice Chancellor Master Hui-Kai, Administrative Vice Chancellor Lin,Chen-Chang, many senior managers and teachers and students also enjoyed the music feast together.
